In 2007 the companies NEWTON I.T. and NEWTON Media, a.s. undergo a merger. The result is the dissolution of the aforementioned companies and the creation of a successor company also named NEWTON Media, a.s. As part of the rebranding process the new NEWTON Media a.s. introduces a new graphic design and also offers its clients a number of new innovations.
In 2006 a change of ownership takes place and NEWTON I.T. becomes an indepedent entity without any share owned by ČTK.
In 2005 technological advances allow the company to introduce its new generation of MediaSearch products.
In 2004 a branch is successfully established in Poland, securing the company’s position and dominant standing in the Central European region for media monitoring and media analyses.
In 2003 NEWTON I.T. becomes a member of FIBEP (Fédération Internationale des Bureaux d` Extraits de Presse), which brings together over eighty of the most prominent media monitoring companies from around the world.
An new original methodology for Newton‘s media analysis product is developed.
In 2001 a branch was founded in the Slovak Republic.
In 2000 Newton I.T. became one of the first companies in the world to launch its own web platform for working with media monitors.
In 1999 monitoring of internet news servers was introduced.
In 1998 NEWTON I.T. became the leader on the Czech media monitoring market, having the largest archive of electronically formatted information at their disposal.
In 1997 ČTK takes over a share of NEWTON I.T. and becomes a strategic business partner. The consolidation of information sources from both companies allows clients to work in an internally developed unified user environment with full texts from the majority of domestic printed or electronically published periodicals, selected foreign periodicals, transcriptions from news and commentary programmes on radio and television stations, and with news from press agencies.
In 1996 an electronic archive of full text articles was put into operation, created in cooperation with the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines. A database of news, commentary, and discussion programmes from television and radio is also created.
In 1995 unfolding activities lead to the founding of a company, NEWTON I.T., one of the daughter companies of the NEWTON Financial Management Group. This company is focused exclusively on the collection, processing, storage, retrieval, and distribution of information from the media in an electronic and printed form.
NEWTON Financial Management Group is founded. Its goal is to offer to services for effective mangement of business' portfolios. To accomplish this it is necessary to build the proper information base. A special division for collecting, classifying, and analysing relevant information from all available sources is built. Over time this electronic archive of information sources expands, as does the number of experts.
